'It's British!' Lucy Powell hits back at Argentina amid row over drilling ban
Deputy Labour Leader Lucy Powell has declared the Government stands "shoulder to shoulder" with the Falkland Islands amid a fresh row with the Argentinian Government.
Speaking to the media, Ms Powell said: "Look, we stand shoulder to shoulder with Falkland Islands. That is a British territory.
"It will remain a British territory for as long as the Falkland Islanders want it to be so and I can't see that changing anytime soon.
"So I'm not going to get into a running commentary on what may or may not be happening in the Argentinian elections.
"But we stand resolute with the Falkland Islands."
