Angela Rayner gives curt response to Christopher Hope as she makes GB News debut

Angela Rayner brushed off a question from Christopher Hope as she made a brief debut on GB News.

The Housing Secretary provided a curt five-word response to The People’s Channel’s Political Editor after John Healey’s speech at the Labour Party conference in Liverpool.

Spotting Ms Rayner in the crowd of those exiting the hall following the Chancellor’s address, Chris made his way over to ask if she had enjoyed the speech.

“It was great. Thank you,” the Housing Secretary responded, her back turned to both Chris and GB News viewers, before speeding off.

Reflecting on the rather short exchange, Chris said: “So I think she seems happy with how that speech went in the hall.”

He then pointed out that Ms Rayner “has now spoken to GB News” and wondered if it might convince her to make another appearance.

“I think Angela Rayner would find that if you spoke to the channel, she'd have lots of friends on it too. But we'll wait and see,” he said.
