Reform UK officials cleared by internal inquiry over donations sting as Met Police continue criminal investigation
An internal investigation within Reform UK has cleared two senior officials of misconduct following a Channel 4 sting operation seeking to expose Nigel Farage and party associates illegally accepting foreign donations.
The operation, which aired last month, saw Channel 4 and verbatim attempt to catch out Reform party members James Orr and Dan Jukes, by posing as wealthy American donors and recording undercover.
Both members stepped down from party duties in the aftermath of the scandal, with an internal party inquiry into whether the pair broke electoral law on foreign donations having now cleared them of any wrongdoing.
An inquiry by the Metropolitan Police, which is a criminal investigation, remains ongoing.
