More than 1,500 migrants cross Channel in four days as at least three more boats set off for Britain today
More than 1,500 migrants have crossed the Channel in four days as at least three more boats set off for British shores today, GB News can reveal.
This morning, 270 migrants arrived in Dover after a surge in small boat crossings over Thursday, Friday and Saturday.
After Border Force and RNLI vessels brought groups of 70 and 62 migrants to Dover, Sunday's number of arrivals have now reached 332.
The Home Office is yet to confirm the official tally.
Yesterday, Shabana Mahmood's department admitted 934 illegal migrants had arrived on the south coast in 12 boats over Thursday and Friday.
On Saturday, 259 migrants entered Britain after setting sail from northern France.
And, so far today, another 270 migrants have been picked up in the Channel and taken to Dover by Border Force vessel Defender, just after 6am.
Including the 270 confirmed by Britain's News Channel today, the last four days have seen 1,393 illegal migrants arrive in the UK.
GB News understands four more boats are en route today, with the latest French escort making its way out of Gravelines.
The Border Force vessel Volunteer has two dinghy-loads of migrants aboard after another French vessel was halfway across the Channel.

GB News can also reveal there are now three more dinghies at sea, all of which remain under escort in French waters.
If they reach British waters, the total number of vessels making the crossing will climb to seven, all of which are making steady progress.
The People's Channel previously revealed at least six small boats carrying 520 migrants crossed into British waters on Friday.
Another 263 crossed the day before on October 29, breaking a two-week dry spell due to torrid conditions in the English Channel.
Data released by the Home Office show 934 people crossed the Channel on 12 vessels across the two-day period.
Now, more than 9,250 small boat migrants have completed the 21-mile journey since Andy Burnham entered No10 back in July.

Footage shared with GB News has shown more migrants attempting to make the perilous journey on Saturday morning.
In the video, a balaclava-clad individual can be seen fighting off migrants in the water as they desperately attempted to climb on board a vessel, with several people appearing to be punched and slapped in the scuffle.
The disturbing scenes came on the same day it emerged Ms Mahmood's changes to Britain's migration system are set to be watered down amid a brewing rebellion from Labour's backbenches.
Under the Home Secretary's proposals, the wait for migrants to obtain permanent residency would double from five to 10 years.
Her plans would also see the wait for some lower-paid migrants to gain indefinite leave to remain (ILR) increased to 15 years, up from five.
The announced crackdown sparked fury among Labour backbenchers, with now-Housing Secretary Angela Rayner branding them "un-British".
And now, Government whips have been attempting to avoid a civil war within the party by exploring the views of the Parliamentary Labour Party (PLP), The Sun reports.
The number of backbench MPs thought to be opposed to Ms Mahmood's proposals is thought to far exceed the confirmed 100 parliamentarians who had signed a letter in protest.
