Littleport resident sounds alarm over plans to open migrant HMO near school 'without consultation'

Britons living in a Cambridgeshire town have sounded the alarm over alleged plans to open a House in Multiple Occupation (HMO) for asylum seekers near a school.

In June, Littleport Town Council said it was made aware of "a number of" comments relating to migrants being housed in the area, but said they were "not aware of, any such accommodation being established in the parish".

But speaking to GB News, local resident Steve said he made an extraordinary revelation after his next-door neighbour sold his home, with "fire doors" being installed by the new tenants.

A Home Office spokesman told the People's Channel "The safety of local communities is central to our immigration reforms, which is why asylum seekers are routinely screened against policing, criminality and immigration databases before they are permitted to move into sites."
